Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at the Wooden Nickel Saloon. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
- Load and unload dishwashers, and ensure that all dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen staff
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
