Job Title: Non-Profit Portfolio Manager

BC Housing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Profit Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for fostering collaborative partnerships with housing and service providers to deliver high-quality, stable, safe, and affordable housing and housing-related services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage a portfolio of non-profit societies, ensuring the highest quality of housing and services.
  • Provide education, consultation, and support to Boards of Directors and Executive staff of non-profit societies on effective management of their social housing properties.
  • Assess financial risk and coordinate the delivery of contracted services for various housing-related programs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for non-profit societies, interacting with Boards of Directors, CEOs, and CFOs to ensure successful partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and service providers.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex issues, balancing diverse interests and facilitating constructive relationships and partnerships.
  • Supervise and motivate staff in a unionized environment, ensuring high-quality work and effective team management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, with post-secondary courses in non-profit society management and/or social service delivery.
  • Extensive experience in senior and advanced-level positions relating to non-profit society management or delivery of social services and community-based programs.
  • Considerable knowledge of current social issues facing tenant populations, including homelessness, mental illness, drug addiction, domestic violence, child protection, and aging.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Criminal Record Check required.
