About the Role: We are seeking an Executive Director to join our client, Grande Prairie Gymnastics Society. This leadership position involves overseeing day-to-day operations and guiding the long-term strategic direction of the organization.

About You: As an ideal candidate, you possess strong leadership skills, a passion for promoting community engagement, and a commitment to empowering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the implementation and delivery of programs and services, ensuring effective management of fiscal, human, and capital resources.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and manage the annual plan, goals, budget, and program direction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing change.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors, Program Manager, Program Coordinators, and Administrative team to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Fundraising: Develop successful grant applications and source new funding opportunities, including ongoing stewardship and reporting requirements.
  • Financial Management: Ensure all financial activities align with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations, maintaining transparency and accountability.

About the Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Education: Business and/or sport and recreation-related post-secondary education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Skillset: Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Certifications: Experience working on or with a volunteer Board of Directors, and proficiency in Sage and Ceridian (an asset).
