About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations Manager and other stakeholders to implement the City's encampment response strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide outreach services to the unhoused population, including engagement, assessment, and connection to support services.
  • Work collaboratively with community members, service providers, and internal partners to ensure individuals receive necessary support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social services agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and case notes.
  • Support the development of progress reports for community and/or City Council.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, or a related field).
  • At least 2 years of experience in results-oriented, high-paced cultures focused on system navigation and referral.
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to build successful stakeholder relationships.
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and vehicle insurance required.
  • Certifications in Case Management Training, Integrated Coordinated Access Training, Standard First Aid CPR Level C, and Motivational Interviewing Training within the first year of employment.
What We Offer:
  • $39.88 per hour (under review).
  • 75 hours bi-weekly, Monday to Friday.
