Nursery Worker

We are seeking a skilled Nursery Worker to join our team at Edgewater Plants Inc. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our plants, ensuring they are healthy and thriving.
Key Responsibilities- Plant Care: Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides to prevent pests and diseases.
- Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils to ensure optimal growing conditions for our plants.
- Planting and Transplanting: Plant bulbs and seeds, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to promote healthy growth.
- Assistance with Grafting: Assist in grafting activities to combine different plant species and promote desirable traits.
- Watering and Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the right amount of moisture.
- Cleaning: Clean the work area to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Ferns: Familiarity with fern species and their care requirements.
- Perennials: Knowledge of perennial plants and their growth habits.
- Berry Bushes: Understanding of berry bush species and their care needs.
- Bonsai Plants: Familiarity with bonsai plant species and their pruning requirements.
- Ornamental Trees, Shrubs, and Hedges: Knowledge of ornamental tree, shrub, and hedge species and their care requirements.
- Seasonal Plants: Familiarity with seasonal plant species and their care needs.
- Weight Handling: Ability to lift and move plants and equipment up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
