About the Role
MNP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) team. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in helping clients capitalize on opportunities to receive government support for innovation by identifying eligible projects and navigating the multitude of government incentive programs and funding opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with client finance departments to review financial statements, general ledgers, and other client source information to maximize SR&ED tax credits.
- Work with the SR&ED team to prepare SR&ED claims and assist clients in identifying and determining eligible expenditures under the SR&ED Tax Credit program.
- Gather supporting documentation and evidence of experimentation sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
- Manage multiple clients and deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Interact with peers, clients, and CRA representatives as needed.
- Experience in business development and marketing MNP SR&ED services to existing and prospective clients is an asset.
Requirements
- CPA with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance/accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including corporate income tax, financial accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
- Minimum of 4 years of SR&ED experience.
- Focus on achieving high-quality, timely, and profitable results.
- Knowledge of financial service organizations like MNP and their service offerings is an asset.
- Bilingual is an asset (French/English).
