Risk Management Director

Join the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization as a Director of Risk Management and take on a key role in shaping the organization's risk management strategy.
About the RoleThe Director of Risk Management will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization's risk management framework, ensuring that it remains fit for purpose and aligned with industry standards.
You will work closely with senior executives to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the organization's strategies and operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining the organization's risk management framework
- Leading risk assessments and providing recommendations for risk mitigation
- Collaborating with internal audit and risk committees to ensure effective risk management
- Designing and implementing control tests to verify risk mitigation
- Providing risk education and training to business units
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification in risk management (e.g. CRMP, CIRM)
- Strong project management skills and experience in risk management
- General knowledge of the investment industry and capital markets
