Veterinary Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team at 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Newmarket, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents, providing exceptional client service skills.
  • Contribute to a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients, demonstrating a nurturing attitude and compassion.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining cleanliness of department work areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
  • Develop a willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the Internal Medicine team with various tasks and treatments.
  • Remain calm in stressful situations and adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Take initiative and work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
