About the Role
BAFTA is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Public Relations and Communications to join their Communications team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned PR professional with a passion for the film, games, and television industries to join a leading arts charity, academy, and membership organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive media engagement with all of BAFTA's activities, including prestigious Awards ceremonies and year-round learning and talent development programs.
- Bring BAFTA's vision and purpose to life to external audiences through the media, including national, consumer, and trade outlets.
- Identify, plan for, and manage potential reputational risk and high-profile PR crises.
- Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders within BAFTA and provide PR support and guidance on media handling.
- Build on strong relationships with the media, specifically film/TV trade press and arts and media editors in the national press, to generate positive press coverage and sentiment about BAFTA.
