Job Summary

Brandt is seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Sydney Construction & Forestry team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose heavy equipment issues, perform repairs and maintenance, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Use a range of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, to efficiently and safely complete tasks.
  • Document all work completed, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent, using computer applications and information systems.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, and sensory processing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
