Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of the Miko-Mahikan "Red Wolf" Harm Reduction Team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide harm reduction strategies, HIV/HCV services, and opiate use disorder treatment. Your expertise and passion for delivering high-quality patient care will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care and community health services to clients and their families
  • Work as part of the Miko-Mahikan "Red Wolf" Harm Reduction Team to deliver harm reduction strategies, HIV/HCV services, and opiate use disorder treatment
  • Travel to communities within the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council to provide outreach services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Master's degree in nursing
  • Current registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care, public health, or acute care
  • Exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Ability to work in a team setting and be self-motivated
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes
  • Ability to provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Current CPIC and vulnerable sector check
