About the Role
Arrow Transportation Systems Inc is seeking a skilled Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for hauling compost material in B train trailers, traveling on various highways and mining roads in BC and the Ashcroft area.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and roadworthiness.
- Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, and occupational health and safety.
- Record and maintain relevant paperwork, including bills of lading and documentation.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Complete electronic logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- A valid Class 1 truck driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- At least two job references.
- B train experience is an asset.
- Mountain driving experience is an asset.
