Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Architect to join our team at Emburse. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our enterprise footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop highly available systems for our architecture
  • Assist in the development of policies and directives, and create architectural documents for internal and external sharing
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Engage with Product to vet user stories from a production standpoint prior to implementation
  • Provide recommendations and feedback in review sessions
  • Ensure best practices are met or exceeded in relation to different teams touching production
  • Identify and track metrics, consistently monitor OKRs to exceed SLA expectations
  • Design and create networks, VPCs, and infrastructure for shared services
  • Lead engineering teams to desired outcomes
  • Take projects from ideation to fruition
  • Lower MTTR for system outages
  • Reduce MTTR for Sev1 incidents through immediate resolutions and post-hoc automation
  • Create robust monitoring/alarming and self-healing feature sets
  • Conduct and assist with investigations, test, and deployment activities, identify and mitigate risks in the design process
Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM field
  • Required: Minimum of 12 years' direct experience in a similar role or minimum of 5 years' experience with Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Listening, teamwork, analysis, reasoning, problem-solving, time management, attention to detail, and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to write SQL and ELK queries, advanced Linux skills, diagnostic experience with monitoring applications (APM), APM configuration, basic IAM management, TCP/IP, and OSI proficiency, and AWS proficiency
  • Ability to merge and apply PRs (Ansible and TF)
  • Deep understanding of release cycles and SDLC
  • Ability to create and complete Jenkins builds
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure and architecture
