Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.
Job OverviewThis role is responsible for ensuring that all financial documentation submitted to the Finance database is accurate and compliant with established accounting principles and University policies.
Responsibilities- Review and process financial documents for accuracy and completeness
- Verify that all financial transactions are properly authorized and recorded
- Ensure that all financial reports are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Completion of a post-secondary program in accounting or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in financial software and systems
