The Opportunity
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals and providing excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Registering patients administratively, including scheduling and collecting payments
- Preparing patients clinically, including hosting them into the exam room and performing triage
- Applying scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills as required
- Using our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage) to manage patient information
- Maintaining a clean and quiet environment by cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, foyers, and bathrooms
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills. You will have:
- 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication skills in English, with other languages considered an asset
- Committed, reliable, and flexible with regards to scheduling of shifts, days, evenings, and weekends
- Flexible with regards to working at multiple clinic/office locations within the Ottawa Region
- Passionate about personal learning, training, and ongoing development

Our hiring process is rigorous and designed to ensure that you are the right fit for us. You will meet and speak to various people on our hiring team throughout the process. The screening stage begins with a few application questions, a basic communications assessment, and finally a phone interview. Successful applicants moving into the selection stage will be invited to an in-person interview where more information about the position is given to the candidate.
