Millwright Red Seal/Power Engineer with Mechanical Expertise

Dessert Holdings Inc. is seeking a skilled Millwright Red Seal/Power Engineer to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing mechanical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of our plant equipment and production assets.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical Expertise: Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams to ensure the efficient installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
- Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair equipment and parts in the shop, and work with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and in the maintenance shop, and ensure compliance with safety requirements and procedures.
- Communication and Teamwork: Work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment, and communicate clearly with managers and colleagues.
- Problem-Solving and Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in food process machinery, and provide value-added industry best practices to our organization.
- Education and Certification: Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial / AB/ ON/ BC Millwright or Millwright Apprentice, and valid Power Engineer Certificate required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical plant is a definite advantage.
- Language and Communication: Working-level proficiency in the English Language, good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Availability: AM & PM shift open- hours assigned by seniority, and ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight shift.
- Competitive Compensation: Great wages Pay Rate up to $43.13/hr.
