Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy, a proudly Canadian company with extensive experience in specialty medication, seeks a dedicated and ambitious Float Registered Practical Nurse to join its growing team. Based in Ontario and Alberta, the company provides patient-centric healthcare, overcoming challenges through innovative strategies.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the infusion clinic, scheduling patient appointments, and providing exceptional patient care. They will work closely with physicians, growing relationships, and utilizing excellent customer service skills. Certifications in ACLS and PALS are considered an asset, as well as previous experience working with PSPs and administering infusions/injections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering and training medications (IV, IM, and SC) in patients' homes or specialty clinics settings
  • Monitoring post-injection/infusion treatments and charting/reporting on activities according to program protocols
  • Providing patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and have experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings. Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and MS Word is required, along with excellent customer service skills.

We offer a competitive salary of $27-$29 per hour, with benefits including casual dress, company events, dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, paid time off, and vision care. Travel is expected, covering locations such as Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Ancaster, Waterloo, and Cambridge. Mileage will be reimbursed from the base location.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Hold a valid provincial license from the College of Nurses
  • Possess Healthcare provider CPR certificate
  • Have a minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (preferred)
  • Be proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, and MS Word
