About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our cardiology department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions in children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases and disorders in children and adolescents
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Prescribe medication and treatment plans for patients
  • Refer patients for surgery and other medical procedures
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in cardiology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and disorders in children and adolescents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
