Requirements:
- Proficiency in both English and French is essential for effective communication with residents/patients and colleagues.
- Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary for emergency response situations.
- Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements is essential for maintaining resident/patient trust.
- Experience working in a health care setting is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and ensure efficient care delivery.
- Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with colleagues and residents/patients.
- Respect for cultural diversity is essential for providing inclusive and sensitive care.
- Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good work and attendance record is expected.
Working Conditions:
- Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, and Registry Checks are required for working with vulnerable populations.
- Immunization as per policy is necessary for protecting residents/patients and colleagues from infectious diseases.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license may be required for some program areas.
