We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at The Kangaroo's Pouch Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young children to grow and thrive.



Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. You will also assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs, engage children in activities, and maintain an environment that protects their health, security, and well-being.

Requirements include a college certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, and a strong understanding of child development theories and practices. Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
