Job Summary

The Kangaroo's Pouch Daycare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the well-being and growth of our children.
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that foster learning and creativity.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
