Executive Director Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned arts professional to lead the Burlington Performing Arts Centre as our next Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of a thriving arts organization.

About the Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the Centre, ensuring its financial sustainability, and fostering strong relationships with the community, artists, and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan
  • Managing a team of staff and volunteers
  • Overseeing financial management and reporting
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the Board of Directors, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Representing the Centre at local, national, and international events
About the Centre

The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of downtown Burlington. With a seating capacity of 718, it hosts a variety of performances, including concerts, plays, and dance productions. The Centre is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for artists, audiences, and community members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in leading performing arts venues or similar organizations
  • A university degree in arts and/or business management or equivalent experience
  • Excellent financial and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in human resources management, community partnerships, and fund-raising
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
