The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to serve as its Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant cultural organization and contribute to the growth and development of the arts in Burlington.
About the RoleThe Executive Director will be responsible for leading the Centre's operations, financial management, and programming. This includes overseeing staff, managing budgets, and developing strategic partnerships with the community, arts organizations, and corporate sponsors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Centre's operations, including financial management, human resources, and marketing
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the Centre's programming and revenue
- Build and maintain relationships with the community, arts organizations, and corporate sponsors
- Oversee the Centre's staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Manage the Centre's budget, including financial planning, reporting, and analysis
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in leading performing arts venues, with a proven track record of success in financial management, programming, and community engagement. A university degree in arts and/or business management or equivalent experience in facility management and administration is required.
The Executive Director must have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff, board members, and community partners. They must also have a deep understanding of the performing arts industry, including trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
