We are seeking a seasoned arts professional to lead the Burlington Performing Arts Centre as our Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the arts in Burlington.
About the RoleThe Executive Director will be responsible for leading the Centre's operations, including financial management, programming, and community engagement. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the performing arts industry, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Centre's operations, including financial management, programming, and community engagement
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Centre's goals and objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, staff, artists, and community partners
- Oversee the Centre's marketing and fundraising efforts
- Ensure the Centre's financial sustainability and growth
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in leading performing arts venues, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role
- A university degree in arts and/or business management, or equivalent experience in facility management and administration
- Excellent financial and organizational skills, with demonstrated leadership in human resources management, community partnerships, board relations, and fund-raising
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
