We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Cardiologist Specialist to join our team at VCA Canada. As a key member of our specialty healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cardiovascular medicine expertise to our patients and their families.
About the Role
- Provide expert cardiology services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases in animals.
- Collaborate with our emergency doctors and other specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other interventions.
- Participate in daily cage-side rounds and contribute to the advancement of our cardiology department.
- Provide mentoring, training, and continuing education to interns, students, and support staff.
- Build strong relationships with clients, referring veterinarians, staff, and the community.
Requirements
- Valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada.
- Board-certified in cardiology.
- License in Alberta or eligibility to be licensed.
- Strong leadership skills and a positive team player attitude.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and exemplary customer service.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Language of work: English.
