Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Cardiologist Specialist to join our team at VCA Canada. As a key member of our specialty healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cardiovascular medicine expertise to our patients and their families.

About the Role

  • Provide expert cardiology services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular diseases in animals.
  • Collaborate with our emergency doctors and other specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other interventions.
  • Participate in daily cage-side rounds and contribute to the advancement of our cardiology department.
  • Provide mentoring, training, and continuing education to interns, students, and support staff.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, referring veterinarians, staff, and the community.

Requirements

  • Valid DVM degree or equivalent, enabling practice in Canada.
  • Board-certified in cardiology.
  • License in Alberta or eligibility to be licensed.
  • Strong leadership skills and a positive team player attitude.
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and exemplary customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Language of work: English.
