Director, Support Services
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Commercial Credit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of adjudicators, contributing to the quality and profitable growth of our Commercial Credit portfolio, and ensuring the portfolio is efficiently maintained at an acceptable level of risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of adjudicators to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Contribute to the development of credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Commercial Banking partners to ensure credit terms and conditions are appropriate and sound risk decisions are achieved.
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members on credit and risk management.
- Identify and contribute to driving continuous improvement at the Bank by identifying policy and process fixes and enhancements.
- Thorough understanding of Commercial Banking and the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Expert understanding of Bank lending policies and procedures, financial analysis, risk assessment techniques, credit structuring, collateral and security documentation and registration, collection, related legislation, and accounting practices.
- Strong leadership skills as demonstrated by the management of a team of adjudicators.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to converse effectively with line and corporate personnel.
- Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written is required for the role.
