About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 2339366 ONTARIO INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, structures, and other projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Develop and implement detailed plans and specifications for construction projects
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential issues
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fabricate and install cabinets, fixtures, and other woodwork
    • Schedule and coordinate work on sites
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
    • Identify and report any defects or issues to the project manager
  • Communication
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
    • Provide regular updates on project progress and any issues that may arise
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
    • Skills
      • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
      • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
      • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
      • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
      Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for site visits and other work-related activities.
