Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Support Specialist to join our team at OSI Maritime Systems. As an integral part of our navigation systems support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and ensuring the smooth operation of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission navigation systems products at customer sites globally.
  • Diagnostics and repair hardware assembly problems, as well as software configuration, network, and integration issues.
  • Assist in developing and delivering technical training to customers on system installation, maintenance, and problem diagnosis.
  • Provide customer support through email and telephone assistance.
  • Offer technical guidance and advice to internal staff to resolve technical problems.
  • Collaborate with the Production Department to test component parts and sub-systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents in accordance with service procedures.
  • Produce and maintain required documentation in compliance with company requirements and ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Educational background in electronics or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Service Engineering, preferably in the military domain, with a focus on complex support solutions for government/military customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical work experience in a technical customer service environment, preferably in marine electronics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with software protocols such as TCP/IP, RS-232, and RS-422.
  • Experience in building and troubleshooting computer issues, radar, and electronic sensors is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Electronic and Windows operating systems, as well as knowledge of system networks and software scripting.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, multi-tasking, and customer relation skills.
  • A working understanding of communication and data transfer standards is essential.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 CDN per annum, commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity.
