Woodworking Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at BAWA CONSTRUCTION INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry and woodworking.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
- Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Conduct site surveys and ensure accurate leveling
- Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members
- Estimate costs and materials for projects
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, warehouses, and offices.
Language and Work ConditionsThe primary language of work is English. The role requires the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards.
