Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices to ensure alignment with the restaurant budget.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling staff and managing inventory.
  • Supervise staff and ensure that all employees are following company policies and procedures.
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage events, including planning and coordinating logistics.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Valid driver's licence.
