Job Title: Social Services Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Services Program Director to join our team at the Kabir Family Foundation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of social and community service programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and planning and organizing their implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the delivery of social and community service programs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of social and community service programs
  • Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs
  • Hire and provide training for professional and non-professional staff
  • Administer programs of membership organizations and non-governmental organizations involved with social issues
  • Direct and advise professional and non-professional staff
  • Establish administrative procedures
  • Participate in policy development by preparing reports and briefs for management committees and working groups
  • Plan, administer, and control budgets for projects, programs, support services, and equipment
  • Represent the organization for government liaison and media relations
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Administer tests
  • Coaching
  • Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches
  • Write research papers, educational texts, and articles
  • Supervise other social workers, paid para-professional staff, student trainees, and volunteers
  • Supervise professional staff, program leaders, instructors, and volunteer staff
  • Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals working with a client group
  • Refer clients to agencies that provide financial assistance, legal aid, housing, medical treatment, and other services
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Provide public education and consultation regarding counseling services, issues, and methods
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
  • Plan programs of assistance for clients
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Lobby for solutions to problems affecting client groups
  • Interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, to assess their situation and problems to determine the types of services required
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia
  • Conduct social research
  • Apply for social program funding
  • Develop prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs
  • Monitor and evaluate
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of social programs
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, client focus, adaptability
