Job Title: Registered Nurse - Inpatient Psychiatry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Psychiatry team at North York General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide excellent patient and family driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health.

- Foster close relationships with peers across the organization, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills to connect with physicians, staff, patients, and families.

- Contribute to the hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning, and/or transforming care through research and innovation.

- Ensure health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.

Requirements:

- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS).

- Current Medication Certificate.

- Minimum 2 years' experience, preferred.

- Certification in Crisis Intervention by Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), preferred.

- Certificate in Mental Health Nursing from a recognized community college, preferred.
