Job Description

As an Associate Insurance Advisor I, you will play a key role in supporting the agency operation through sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products. This includes auto and home insurance, as well as some basic support for additional product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales, service, and profitable growth of personal lines insurance products
  • Advising and recommending coverages and policies that best meet client needs
  • Prospecting and cross-selling by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client
  • Completing front-line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines
  • Identifying which risks require inspections and re-inspections, and may be required to complete inspections
  • Achieving individual goals for client service, sales, quality, and productivity
  • Supporting programs to build multi-client relationships
  • Responding to client questions and concerns, resolving customer complaints, and escalating issues appropriately
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A General Insurance License or the ability to obtain one within two months
  • Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to maintain licenses
  • One year of sales and service experience or related business experience (preferable)
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and selling techniques (an asset)
