Job Title: Vegetable Farm Worker

Monette Farms Ltd. is seeking a skilled Vegetable Farm Worker to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality vegetables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
  • Hand harvest vegetables, ensuring they are of the highest quality.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, maintaining optimal growing conditions.
  • Weed and fertilize crops, promoting healthy growth and development.
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time, ensuring maximum yield and quality.
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for the market.
  • Perform general farm duties, including maintaining farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly.
Work Environment:

As a Vegetable Farm Worker, you will be working in a rural area, with various locations across the farm. Staff accommodation is available for those who need it.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour and handle heavy loads.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
