Job Title: Vegetable Farm Worker

We are seeking a skilled Vegetable Farm Worker to join our team at Monette Farms Ltd.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high prices in the market.
  • Hand harvest vegetables and ensure they are of the highest quality.
  • Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Weeding and fertilizing crops to promote healthy growth.
  • Harvest crops at the right time to ensure maximum quality and quantity.
  • Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry safely and efficiently.
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for the market.
  • Perform general farm duties as required.
  • Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times.
  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift or dolly.
Work Environment:
  • Staff accommodation available on site.
  • Rural area with various locations.
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
