About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at The Bund Shanghai Cuisine & Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Help with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Support the dishroom team in washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, and pans.
  • Assist with setting tables, replenishing linens, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Help with food storage, including stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Assist with food handling and preparation, including portioning and wrapping foods.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining accurate records of food quantities and inventory.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
