Furniture Mover Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Furniture Mover to join our team at Affordable Mattress And Furniture Swift Current Inc. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload products and materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
  • Operate a variety of equipment to move materials and products, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Weigh materials and goods to ensure accurate inventory and shipping records.
  • Wrap and pack goods for shipping and storage.
  • Install, lash, and secure goods for transportation.
  • Store cargo and materials in a safe and organized manner.
  • Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
