The Housekeeping Professional role at JOHN NEWELL is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort for our clients.

Job Description

This position involves performing a variety of tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living space. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors
  • Dusting furniture
  • Vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Making beds and changing sheets
  • Stocking linen closets
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and polishing kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Disinfecting operating rooms and other areas
  • Picking up debris and emptying trash containers
  • Laundering clothing and household linens
  • Mending clothing and linens
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Shopping for food and household supplies
  • Washing windows, walls, and ceilings
  • Cleaning changing rooms and showers

As a Housekeeping Professional, you will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling

You will also need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficiency, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, written communication, values, ethics, patience, and honesty.
