About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Diesel Pro Truck Service Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair
    • Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks to identify and diagnose mechanical issues
    • Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, and other critical systems
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
    • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
    • Collaborate with supervisors to determine the best course of action for repairs
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including explaining repairs and maintenance requirements
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure seamless workflow
  • Training and Development
    • Coach and instruct apprentices in the art of truck mechanics
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Work Environment
    • Workshop environment with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment
  • Language
    • English language proficiency
