About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Kooner Truck & Trailer Repair. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and adjust or replace parts as needed.
  • Customer Service: Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service on our fleet of trucks, including routine inspections and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Strong knowledge of commercial transport truck systems, including truck-trailer systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular exposure to heavy equipment and physical labor.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
