Jewellery Store Manager Job Description

Nanda Jewellers Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Jewellery Store Manager to lead our retail team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our jewellery store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily operations, plan and organize daily operations, manage staff and assign duties.
  • Market Research: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, locate, select and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote our products and services.
  • Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
  • Staffing: Determine staffing requirements, recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or jewellery store environment.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Adaptability, analytical, collaborative, creativity, efficiency, energetic, goal-oriented, hardworking, integrity, outgoing, positive attitude, proactive, quick learner, time management, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, team player, patience, ability to multitask.
