What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP matching, share savings opportunities, and career development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial expertise and support to management on financial-related matters and decisions for short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement business team priorities by participating in joint issue identification, analysis, and resolution.
  • Partner with business leadership to maintain a strong understanding of key business drivers, specific business processes, and future strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure strong execution, delivery of customer value, and positive business results.
  • Support month-end closing process, primarily focusing on monthly reviews and periodic business planning sessions.
  • Develop and implement a monthly reporting package, including full financial statements, detailed reporting of key P&L drivers, and other financial metrics.
  • Analyze variances as compared to plan, forecast, and prior periods, and prepare presentations and documentation of budget and forecast information.
  • Develop additional reporting as needed by the business to provide insight and create action plans to improve results.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to the organization to develop more efficient and better ways to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage the Capital Spending process, including developing the Capital Spend budget, ongoing reporting cadence, and partnering with the Project Sponsor to substantiate the rationale for projects through business case development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required); MBA (preferred).
  • CPA designation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an analytical role in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis, or economics.
  • Experience working as the financial liaison on a business team and ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial modeling experience, along with a solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Effective time management skills, including prioritizing, organizing, tracking details, and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
