About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior PLAA Project Coordinator to join our team at IBI Group. As a key member of our Permitting and Approvals group, you will be responsible for supporting clients in obtaining contractor permits and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PLAA Plans that meet client requirements and comply with regulatory frameworks
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure timely permit applications and approvals
  • Engage with stakeholders to resolve permitting issues and improve project outcomes
  • Manage internal and external regulatory approval processes to minimize delays
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, municipal planning, building, construction, and/or engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ontario's regulatory framework, including the Ontario Water Resources Act, Building Code, Planning Act, Metrolinx Act, and Municipal Act
  • Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders, including clients, designers, contractors, and government agencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
