About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Regulatory Permitting Specialist to join our team at Woodlands North Inc. in Edmonton or Whitecourt. This is a full-time permanent position focused on environmental regulatory applications and related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands peers, management, regulators, and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records with exceptional organizational skills, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure safe and efficient project work, adhering to current best management practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in Alberta Environment and Parks, Alberta Energy Regulator, and Department of Fisheries and Oceans online permitting application and report submission systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of current best management practices and regulatory requirements for environmental permitting applications and reporting requirements.
  • Field experience in water and fish-related enforcement and/or assessments and construction practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, quality, safety, and customer service focus, with exceptional prioritization skills.
  • University degree or technical diploma in natural resources, including environmental law courses, and 5 years of field experience.
