Design and Development Technician

MESAR Consultants inc. is seeking a skilled professional to join its team as a Mechanical Process Specialist/Design and Development Technician. This role is part of the company's multidisciplinary services, which cater to clients in the heavy industry sector, including mining and metals, metallurgy, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, and energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to gather data and information;
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop plans and specifications;
  • Coordinate the design process with other disciplines;
  • Supervise work on site, as required;
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures to meet quality assurance standards.

Requirements:

  • Hold a DEC in mechanical engineering design or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in French language;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of 3D drawing software;
  • Knowledge of drawing standards for overall and detailed plans;
  • Hold a valid ASP card from the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course;
  • Hold a valid driving license and be willing to travel occasionally.

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of English language;
  • Experience in consulting engineering in mining, metallurgical, and pulp and paper sectors;
  • Experience in process mechanics design;
  • Knowledge of Inventor and Plant 3D drawing software.
