Job Title: Mechanical Process Technician/Draughtsman

MESAR Consultants is a leading consulting engineering firm seeking a skilled Mechanical Process Technician/Draughtsman to join its team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and development of mechanical systems for various industries, including mining, metallurgy, and pulp and paper.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather data and information for design purposes;
  • Develop and maintain detailed plans and specifications for mechanical systems;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design coherence and quality;
  • Supervise and coordinate work on site, as needed;
  • Apply company policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Hold a DEC in mechanical engineering design profile or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in French language;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of 3D drawing software;
  • Knowledge of drawing standards for overall and detailed plans;
  • Hold a valid ASP card from the General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course;
  • Hold a valid driving license and be mobile for occasional travel.
Assets:
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English language;
  • Experience in consulting engineering in mining, metallurgical, and pulp and paper sectors;
  • Experience in process mechanics design;
  • Knowledge of Inventor and Plant 3D drawing software.

  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and precisely.
