Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Design Technician to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our Building Structure and Design team, you will be responsible for assisting senior engineers and designers in the preparation of building plans and designs using CAD/DAO software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior engineers and designers in the preparation of building plans and designs using CAD/DAO software.
  • Take charge of designing parts of projects.
  • Verify that plans and designs comply with guidelines, code prescriptions, and other regulations.
  • Estimate and calculate quantities of materials required for project completion.
  • Visit various sites to collect data necessary for designing plans and designs.
  • Perform various simulations using specialized software (e.g., create 2D or 3D models).
  • Attend design team meetings.
  • Monitor construction sites.
  • Perform any other related tasks that may be necessary to complete the project.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in standard design software.
  • Experience in consulting engineering considered an asset.
  • Experience in building structure and/or art projects considered an asset.
  • Initiative, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
