Ornge is a vital part of Ontario's health care system, providing high-quality air ambulance service and medical transport to people who are ill or injured. Our mission is to be there for patients, so they can get where they need to be.

Our Services

We provide a range of services, including emergency and non-urgent response and transport, supporting remote communities, and finding innovative solutions based on geographic and population needs. With the largest air ambulance and critical care land ambulance fleet in Canada, we serve 13 million people over one million square kilometers of land, and perform approximately 21,000 patient-related transports per year.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership and direction to the Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Information Technology teams. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic direction and priorities for the planning, development, and management of the diverse financial services needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Information Technology teams
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the planning, development, and management of financial services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement business plans and strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and partners

Requirements

We are looking for a proven finance leader with a deep understanding of financial management, experience working in a complex and multi-site organization, and expertise in hospitals or healthcare. You will have experience overseeing a broad portfolio, executing effectively, building collaborative partnerships, and motivating, aligning, and empowering teams to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
