Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join our team at Lush. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's legal affairs are managed effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on commercial matters, including contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business growth and minimize legal risks.
  • Manage and maintain electronic records of agreements and contracts.
  • Provide guidance on corporate organizational legal matters, including corporate reorganizations and director/officer changes.
  • Advise on tax matters, government regulations, and legal rights.
  • Partner with the HR Compliance Manager on sensitive employment issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial law or equivalent experience.
  • Recent experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law in Canada and the US.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize, and manage complex workloads to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to accommodate additional work demands as required.
  • Current membership of a law society in Canada or the US.
Location and Type

The preferred location for this role is Vancouver, British Columbia. However, we are open to considering North America remote candidates dependent on business needs.

This is a hybrid position that offers a unique blend of in-office and remote work.
