About the Role

Central 1 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial part in providing top-tier legal services across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead legal projects and provide expert advice on various matters
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and manage legal risks
  • Support business lines and functions with legal services
  • Act as lead in-house lawyer on transactions and manage external counsel
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of Central 1's products and services
  • Support executive management team and manage litigation
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
  • Experience in drafting agreements and digital initiatives
  • Knowledge of financial institution regulation and compliance
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Organizational and client service skills
